LoLa: Low Latency Audio and Video Conferencing
What is LoLa?
LoLa (Low Latency Audio and Video Conferencing) is a cutting-edge technology that enables musicians, teachers, and students to perform together in real-time from different locations with no perceptible audio and visual delay using the Internet2 network. With undetectable audiovisual delay, LoLa opens up new opportunities for remote live performances, collaborative learning, and interactive master classes.
For LoLa updates and technical guides for installation and troubleshooting, visit the Italian GARR LoLa site. Please note that the US-based Internet2 LoLa Working Group is no longer active.
Network Performing Arts Production Workshop (NPAPW)
Attend the annual Network Performing Arts Production Workshop (NPAPW) to see LoLa performances and other hands-on sessions and live demonstrations of advanced network-enabled arts technologies. NPAPW is open to anyone and any institution interested in using interactive technologies in educational programs or performances.
The workshops are a collaborative project of GÉANT, Internet2, and several European National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), working together with cultural institutions around the world to organize these annual events.
